Ohio Open Doors

Honor Your Local Buildings & Landmarks

Ohio

Join the Ohio History Connection and our State Historic Preservation Office to honor your local buildings and landmarks – their history, design and beauty and share the stories they tell. Celebrate the treasures of your community during “Ohio Open Doors” Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 20, 2020.

Open the doors of your local landmarks any day during the celebration for a minimum of two-hours to:

Stimulate citizen interest in landmarks’ history and architecture in your community

Create a time for members of your community to connect with you and each other

Promote, educate and inspire pride in Ohio’s amazing heritage. Ohio History Connection will support qualifying participating properties with an online kit, Ohio Open Doors logo, public online calendar of events for travel and tourism agencies and sample press releases.

A limited amount of small-dollar stipends to help with out-of-pocket costs are available on a first-come, first-served basis for small non-profit participants. Email shpo@ohiohistory.org or 614-298-2000 to request a stipend. For more information about Ohio Open Doors, please contact Stephen George, Ohio History Connection’s senior advisor to the CEO, at sgeorge@ohiohistory.org.
