Calling all Museums, Natural History Attractions and Heritage Sites

Learn More About America 250-Ohio 4th Grade Pass Program Launching Next Week

America 250-Ohio is poised to launch a promotion to provide any 4th grade student in Ohio with a free admission (with paid adult) to a participating history-related museum or site. The pass is only valid on general admission and may not be used for group admissions.

The program begins Feb. 8 and will run through Dec. 31, 2026. However, eligible 4th grade students each year will be identified as the following: For this year - as the program is just getting started - America 250-Ohio is saying it is for 4th graders in the 2023-2024 school year and will expire Aug. 31, 2024. Each year through 2026, 4th grade students will become eligible for one year starting on Sept. 1 of each school year. 

Participating museums will be responsible for tracking the use of the offer to report back to America 250-Ohio quarterly and at the end of the fiscal year. It will be a simple email report.

Sites will be provided with a window cling and box office sign to indicate they are partners in the program. In addition, America 250-Ohio will be creating a web page to share participating sites information and will support through e-news and social media.

America 250-Ohio is hoping to have as many history-related museums and sites (including natural history!) be part of the launch group. They are holding a webinar/briefing on Monday, Feb. 5 at noon regarding operations/implementation for any interested parties. If you want to move forward with joining the promotion, notify Chris, and she will send you a simple Memorandum of Understanding to secure your spot!
