A full-time position with the John S. Knight Center – Greater Akron/Summit County, Ohio’s premier convention center is now available. The Center is managed by the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The successful candidate must have three (3) years experience in sales with measurable and verifiable results. Our potential new team member will consistently demonstrate exceptional communication skills with clients, fellow sales team members and supervisors. The foundation upon which success will be built is the ability to establish rapport, nurture mutually-beneficial relationships and leverage that into sales.
The newest member of our staff is self-motived and possesses confidence, professionalism and a solid work ethic. Most importantly, she/he will represent Greater Akron and the John S. Knight Center as a convention destination.

Job responsibilities include:
Working existing files and creating new and active leads that convert into bookings.
Conducting routine sales initiatives in person and over the phone to establish potential new business within designated markets for the John S. Knight Center.
Develop and nurture sales leads from and to the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Destination Sales Team.
Research and identify new market segments to expand and solidify new/repeat business sources.
Working in a dynamic business environment that rewards innovation, dedication and encourages professional growth.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes medical benefits and incentive program.
