Webinar
America 250-Ohioe announces a new grant opportunity designed to fuel local America 250-Ohio celebrations! The Fall 2024 grant cycle, in partnership with Ohio Humanities, offers funding specifically for activities planned within "America 250-Ohio Communities" – counties, cities, villages, and townships who are officially designated after having gone through the process.
It is not too late for communities to become an America 250-Ohio Community. Learn more and apply for this designation here. Communities must be designated by Dec. 31 to be eligible for grant funding.
What's Different About This Round?
This grant opportunity focuses on activities that complement existing statewide initiatives. America 250-Ohio is looking for projects that fall under two key themes:
- Storytelling: Bringing Ohio's unique stories and contributions to the nation to life.
- Education (Next Generation Citizens): Engaging young people and fostering their understanding of American history and civic responsibility.
Why Apply?
These grants aim to empower local communities to create their own exciting events and programs aligned with America 250-Ohio. This funding will help extend the reach of educational programming across all 88 Ohio counties.
How to Apply:
- Community Designation: Ensure your community is officially designated as an "America 250-Ohio Community" by December 31, 2024. Visit the website for details.
