Ørchard on Catawba is a family owned & operated, 24-acre agritourism venue featuring two restaurants, three bars, fresh coffee & bakery, farm market, retail shop, peach & apple orchard, vineyard, beehives, acres of gardens and more.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop private event & catering programs including menu, pricing strategy, sales materials, etc.
  • Plan & execute public, private, weddings, and branded events.
  • Maintain a working calendar & knowledge of all events, sometimes up to 10 at once with the Operations team.
  • Create new & intriguing events that align with Ørchard on Catawba Island strategic vision in partnership with Brand Manager.
  • Gather qual & quant data feedback from guests & apply for future event success.
  • Have extensive knowledge of annual Vintners Club membership & ability to sell to prospective members.
  • Collaborate with Brand Manager on bi-weekly marketing campaigns for ticket sales, private event & Vintners Club awareness & updates.
  • Professionally respond within 24 hours to event inquiries and members.
  • Reports directly to owners & strong daily collaboration with the entire Management team.

 

Skills Needed:

  • Proficient in Google Platform.
  • Use of billing methods, contracts & invoice preparation.
  • Outstanding communication and writing.
  • Able to develop strong relationships with members and event inquiries.
  • Attention to detail and timely execution on tasks.
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and be a self-starter.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Event Management.
  • Weekend availability required, with much email and phone correspondence occurring outside of traditional business hours.
  • $40,000-$50,000 annual salary based on qualifications & experience with additional sales commission.
  • Two weeks paid vacation during off-season, no healthcare or retirement benefits offered currently.
