America 250-Ohio Commission Meeting

The next meeting of the Ohio Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial (aka America 250-Ohio) is Friday, June 14 at the brand-new Great Council State Park in Xenia. The meeting is held 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. RSVP below to ensure you are kept updated with meeting details and logistics..

These meetings are open to the public, and we highly encourage you to attend to stay updated, meet commission members and staff, or explore ways to celebrate the nation's founding in 2026.

The Great Council State Park is located at 1587 US Route 68 N. in Xenia. It opens as Ohio's 76th state park the week prior to the America 250-Ohio Commission meeting. This park includes an interpretive center that pays tribute to Shawnee longhouses as central hubs and community centers for tribes. ODNR worked with the three federally-recognized Shawnee nations to ensure Great Council State Park conveyed an accurate and authentic record of life in the 1770s.
